Intermediate Class


In the Intermediate class students will advance to the next level of sailing. Students are expected to have completed the beginner class with us or another sail school. First day, will be a swim test w/life vest along with capsize recovery. Thereafter a curriculum review, boat rigging, sail skill evaluation introducing students to race starts, course maneuvering, and proper sail trim. Please ensure your child is equipped with the proper items for class: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, shorts, sun shirts, hat, towel, sunscreen, and lunch. (Note: bikini's & high-rise shorts are prohibited). Student registration form can be accessed here - https://www.learntosailswf.org/youth-registration.html. 


EACH STUDENT MUST BE AT LEAST 8 YEARS OF AGE TO ATTEND THESE CLASSES

Students must also be no older than 17 yrs as well.

  • Closed-Toe Shoes

  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Clothes that can get wet
  • Towel
  • Bring your own lunch Monday-Thursday (Friday is Pizza Party)
