LEARN TO SAIL SUGGESTED HURRICANE PREPARATION ITEMS 2021
1. What items inside the building need to be secured away from wind and water?                                                                                                                                  A. FILES -important files where are they going to be stored ?                          
  B. ELECTRONICS - 2 way radios, computer, printer, need to decide on a location in the facility or off the facility to safely store them.                                  C. OUTSIDE DOCK BOX - pressure washer, gas tanks, and weed eater, in dock box need to be removed and stored in a safe location.   

2. What items outside the building are to be secured or stored.                                A. Aqua Fins, Picos, Sunfish, and Cubes can be moved into training classroom.                                                                                                                             B. The 2
RIDGID safety boats that are docked in the water need to be stored on their trainers. The trailers are stored at Punta Gorda Self Storage 3086 Cooper Street, Punta Gorda,FL. Contact person at storage facility Bobby or Hope Cox. Telephone (941 575-9060. The trailers are stacked together at the facility. it will take two individuals lift them off. . They are safety chained together with a combination lock that uses the (4 digits)., the same that is used on all facility access at LTS - GSS. The Two suggestions since the boat trailers are road worthy. Shelter the safety boats in a members garage to avoid wind damage.                                                                            C. The 3 -14.6 American sail boats need to be removed from the water and stored on their trailers. The trailers are also stored at (PUNTA GORDA SELF STORAGE) same storage facility as the safety boat trailers listed in item B. The American sail boats can be de-masted and put close to the building using the ground anchors and filled with water. Lasers  can be stored  on the racks and tied down.

       D. Who is going to volunteer?  How many days before a named storm will the final securing of facility be completed?  NEED NAMES OF VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN ASSIST IN SECURING FACILITY.
