WANTED
We need a Summer Camp Administrator and or sailing instructor for Learn To Sail Inc., dba Gulf Shore Sailing School, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  Flexible starting date, approximately 40 hours per week for 8 to 10 week summer courses, five days per week.  Usually 8am to 4pm with classes 9am to 3pm.  Each class is approximately 8-10 students of 8 to 12 years old followed by the next week of 13 to 18 year old students.  Usually two weeks of beginner classes for each age group and a second two week session of intermediate classes for those who previously enrolled and completed a beginner course.

     Conditions of employment
All sailing instructors must pass a background check before contracting.
All sailing instructors must be certified and experienced.
All sailing instructors, working with children, must be Safe Sport Certified

Day camp administrator/Certified Sailing Instructor pay range will be $300-$600 per week depending on class size.  There are, usually, two four day weeks, Memorial Day and Independance Day.  Those weeks are used for open practicum sailing where any past student can sail for free and Administrator duties are simply supervision and not intense instruction.  Practicum pay is $50 per day.

The Day Camp Administrator will have authority over all students and volunteers in the program.  They will have the sole authority to judge sailing conditions.  They will be given a weekly budget and credit card for necessary supplies, drinks, food and miscellaneous parts needed for emergency repairs.

Please check out our fleet of 21 boats and contact us for explanations of our contract terms.
Please call Bob at 402 440-0321
